Each kit includes 8 pieces hand dyed velvet approx. 6 X 5.5 inches enough to make 8 mushrooms with some velvet left over, 3 stem fabric pieces for dyeing, cotton stuffing, 8 pipe cleaners, heavy duty thread, dye granules, 3 skeins embroidery floss, spun cotton mushroom, Aleene's tacky glue, paint brush, glue stick, moss, trims.
This one-hour step-by-step video tutorial demonstrates how to build a spun cotton armature for your mushrooms, dye the stem fabrics, stitch them in place with decorative stitches, and create a silk velvet cap for your mushroom with embroidered spots. Lots of photos and ideas are included to show you different ways to display mushrooms for gift-giving or keeping. To complete this project you will need scissors, wire cutters, a sewing needle and an ink pad for distressing if desired.
