New in the shop~ *Spring Bunnies Class and Kit*
I’m so excited to share with you my journey over the past year as I have been experimenting with creating molds and forms for spun cotton figures.
In this class, you will create your own reusable mold and cast 8 figures to use in your spun cotton art and make a whimsical spun cotton egg basket for your bunnies.
A step-by-step online video tutorial hosted by YouTube is included with all the materials you will need to make your mold and figures as well as all the delicate vintage trims I have hand picked from my collection for you to complete your whimsical spun cotton egg basket.
The tiny basket was inspired by the beautiful spun cotton eggs created by Rosanna @rosannadellart. When I contacted her about the making of this class, Rosanna generously gave me permission to share how I used her technique to create these tiny egg baskets. Several finishing options for your bunnies are demonstrated in the tutorial including steps to use the jewelry findings and hand dyed ribbon included in your kit to make a tiny spun cotton bunny necklace to wear or hang as an ornament on a feather tree.
The techniques in this class can be used in so many different creative applications, I just can’t wait to see all the beautiful things you make.
Included in this kit~
Mold making materials, casting clay- enough to make 8 tiny bunnies, mold release, bunny and egg forms, cotton, vintage millinery flowers, tinsel, bouillon and trims, vintage papers, chenille stems, glass eyes, jewelry findings, hand dyed ribbon, glue, coated work surface, sanding block, photo, source list for supplies and custom paint palette.
To complete this project you will need the following:
paint brushes, needle tool, glue gun, wire cutters, scissors, xacto knife and a scale.
